Farewell session & workshop on reuse and sustainablilty
Saaf Mohalla Saaf Pakistan conducted a session at Safa Mera Primary School, and it was a great success! Initially, we had a few outgoing grade 5 kids, but eventually, about 14 kids showed up. We began with a welcoming note, followed by encouraging the kids to fill out feedback forms. These feedback forms marked the end of our project, funded by the International Bazaar of Luxembourg, and we wanted feedback specifically from the 4th and 5th classes. The responses we received were quite interesting and valuable. One unanimous suggestion from the kids was for Saaf Mohalla Saaf Pakistan to organize more outings and trips. Afterward, we conducted an upcycling activity, where we divided the kids into groups and helped them assemble used bottles, bottle caps, and sticks into cars. These bottles were collected from roadsides, cleaned, and prepared for the activity. The kids thoroughly enjoyed putting them together and even had races with their creations! To conclude the event, we discussed plastic pollution and the importance of the three R’s, especially Reuse. We gifted the kids reusable bottles and concluded with group photos. It was a fulfilling day of learning and fun for everyone involved!
